Hi all. Wanted to share a little victory from tonight.
At the end of last year I ended up messing up my knees so badly. It was so bad that sometimes I couldn't even walk to my (college) classes without bursting into tears halfway through my 4 minute walk. I ended up gaining weight (10lbs, roughly) from not being as active. So, I decided to start doing something about it. I have started eating healthier and checking calories for about two weeks. I've started seeing some weight fluctuation, but I assume that's normal when starting out.
Anyway, I got home from the gym tonight and felt proud. Ended up walking 1.6 miles today in about 40 minutes. It's not bad. I had to go under 4mph the entire time though because my knees still can't handle running or speedwalking. One day though, one day. I've never been able to walk that long for months and now I was able to do it. I'm hoping this means that my knees are starting to heal bit by bit and I can do other forms of exercise soon!
