when i was fatter i was eating all kinds of crap. chocolate bars, chocolate milk, hamburgers, fries, pizza, pringles etc. but even stuff that's not as bad like chinese restaurant food, sushi, normal restaurant food like steaks. all the food i ate made me feel satisfied and fulfilled
i've cut all that from my diet and have gone to a much healthier diet removing that junk from my life, but occasionally i will eat one of the above things because i miss that feeling i used to get (in moderation of course, calories adjusted that day accordingly).
but i find that i no longer achieve the same feeling of satisfaction after eating it. like last week i had pizza for dinner and i thought i would love it and feel good but afterwards i feel nothing. same with the carls JR burger that i used to love. the only thing that comes close to achieving the same feeling as before is sushi with wasabi and soy sauce.
and then when i really think about it, most of that food didn't really "hit" that spot for me even when i was obese. the chocolate bars, pies, and cheap burgers were just something i stuffed into my body and didn't actually taste that great.
anyone else feel the same? what kind of food is actually delicious? im eating stuff like boiled shrimp and steak and broccoli and tomato and eggs and they're fine but it gets tiring. i miss eating good food (my caloric goals allow me to eat things i enjoy, but i find that i just dont know what food is good tasting anymore).
i had chicken liver on bread a few days ago and that was decent.
