Is anyone out there struggling to lose “grief weight”?

Long time lurker here. I’ve (29f) been working to get shit my together and lose the 50 pounds I put on over 2 years while grieving over the sudden death of someone very close to me. I was at a normal weight before and am now obese. Is anyone else in a similar situation? I see a therapist weekly but she don’t seem too keen on talking about how the grief relates to my weight gain. I believe I gained weight because of emotional overeating and a sedentary lifestyle exacerbated by depression/grief. One year ago I also started taking an ssri which improved my depression but seemed to accelerate my weight gain. I feel daunted and confused by this entire thing. Are there any books/resources out there for this type of thing?
