Hey r/loseit! I have struggled with weight my entire life, going from various body sizes throughout my time on this Earth. In the summer of 2017, however, I hit 267 lbs, easily the most I have ever weighed, I remember recanting “this is bullshit” and promptly going on a run at 1am, completely ashamed of how I neglected my body. Well in November of 2018, with lots of dietary discipline and a little bit of hard work, I finally hit the under 200 mark. I, in a spur of the moment decision, have decided to share my journey with you guys! (Sorry the recent pic isn’t full body)

After: https://ibb.co/2N4wCyC (Sorry it isn’t full body or anything, I took it just now because I couldn’t find any recent photos that show more)
Tips I learned along the way: Me personally, I took advantage of intermittent fasting and calorie counting carefully. I kinda went cold turkey from eating a lot. I stopped drinking my calories (I still drink diet soda, I understand it isn’t the healthiest option but I haven’t discovered it to cause weight gain). My first month cutting back I ate a strict 1,500 calories a day, I lost 30 lbs and then after that just remained conscious of what I ate (I’d shoot for under 2k a day), I was also very hard on myself (I don’t recommend that) and was always overestimating how many calories were in something when I couldn’t find an exact number (you learn that there is usually more calories in a food then you think), but most importantly, I remained vigilant, don’t give up, do it for you and nobody else and don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t! Good luck to all of you guys, I understand how tough it can be and am rooting for all of you.
ONE MORE THING! IMPORTANT IF you overeat one day, it IS NOT the end of the world, do NOT rip yourself apart over it. If you occasionally eat 200-300 calories over your limit, your world won’t end, but do NOT make it a habit, commit to yourself but don’t tear yourself apart over making a human mistake, you can have a bad day and still make the week a net positive, remember that!
