Thoughts on suggesting Therapy.. an issue I have seen all too often in this sub. Discussion.

In many threads I have seen people simply saying 'you need Therapy' or 'get some help this is not healthy' or 'this is anorexic thinking, get counseling'.. 'this sounds like an eating disorder, go to your mental health clinic'.. I have seen these exact comments in so many threads in this sub. Sometimes people do not have access to therapy.. lack of insurance.. they are not in school, lack of funds.. (talkspace costs money too- I know it is a small amount for some on this sub but for others they do not have it to spare) or simply because they live in a rural area where there is quite literally nowhere to receive therapy. Please refrain from offering just this comment and offer concrete ways of changing one's mindset and habits. These could range from saying be more active.. steering them to books as resources to heal themselves.. suggesting a youtube video to help.. offering to message them here and there to see how they are doing. Saying 'go seek therapy' may help a few but it will certainly not help most. They came here for assistance so let's offer them assistance!
