Any tips appreciated!

So my dad had kidney failiure for about 13 years doing dialysis. Just a couple years ago on his birthday we had finaly found a donor. Now that he has a kidney he has lots more energy and feels alot better. In that time frame though he had no real way of excersizing without adding additional stress on his already fragil body. Before his kidney failiure he was about 160-170 lbs, excersized regularly, and was overall pretty healthy. Now after suffering from 2 knee replacements he is about 210 and only 5'7".

I was wondering if there were any tips or key goals to keep in mind and follow through on. We are already in the process of replacing all of our junk foods and processed snacks with fruits and healthier options. We've also already converted to 0 calorie drinks only(water, vitamin water zero, sparkling drinks) no diet soda. As for excerside we go to the gym a couple times a week and he will do cardio for an hour or 2. Since he cant walk very fast his cardio is restricted to the stationary bike.

I would just like to know if theres anything that can make this an easier more enjoyable experience without becoming a chore. I really want to keep my dad with us as long as possible. Thank you all in advance, and have a Merry christmas! 🎄🎁😊
