I’m stuck on meds that require a high fat and relatively heavy meal. Fortunately it’s only once a day. But It leaves less intake for the day overall.
Last night I felt a bit crappy. Everyone around has had mild colds and I’m trying to avoid it. So I made green tea and miso broth for a late night snack instead of reaching for a full portion of anything. I was bad, I had a small bag of single serving of chips and bread and peanut butter too. But I knew I needed something for helping to keep me healthy as I don’t want this cold. Well today I’ve done better in some respects. I made a double portion of miso broth last night so I’m sipping on that and tea. The miso broth is high in sodium but I’m drinking water too.
I’m progressively trying to remove the bad while I progressively replace it with good. Not an all at once thing at all. I’d rather the permanence of habits than the quick loss. But the heavy meals will go on several more months so this is better if it last longer. It helps that it’s been cold out in some ways, as it encourages me to want broths and teas.
I will figure out the medical diet and such. But I’d rather traverse this path toward health than a path towards major health issues and a lot of pain. Onwards.
