Physical symptoms of obesity

I know I might be missing something here, Or maybe I just didn’t find the right thread when searching, but I’m really curious as to what kind of symptoms folks feel when they are overweight. Specifically, 40 to 50 pounds overweight or more. That’s me right now. I’m at around 250 at 5 foot seven (male) and I feel like crap a lot of the time. I have severe anxiety which I’m sure contributes to it, along with depression, which is being treated, but I can’t help but think that some symptoms are exacerbated or caused by the extra weight. Sometimes I’ll have a little pain under my ribs within my chest wall, which I’ve been told it’s probably just pleurisy…just...it’s scary, And many other random aches and pains all over my body. I don’t have a lot of energy, I’m pretty foggy brained a lot of the time, just blah.

I’ve lost about 14 pounds in the last month, mostly by walking and watching what I eat (I’ve had problems with binge eating) So that’s a start. My knees and joints feel a little better and that’s encouraging, but I’d love to hear what kind of aches and pains and general crappiness others experience.

I’m trying not to be a downer with this but all these aches and pains and worries and physical symptoms are finally what has caused me to take this seriously. I realize that life is and will continue to be much more difficult if I don’t lose weight. The weight I’ve lost in just a month has been the best progress I have made in probably 10 to 15 years.

Thanks, all.
