I am having a difficult time understanding this (it may be really simple but I am missing it). Example: Person A gains 50 pounds during pregnancy goes from 160 to 210. Has baby and goes down to 200. Now Person A keeps the same diet pre pregnancy (let’s say 1800 calories) and doesn’t lose any weight for 2 years. Is this because Person A is in maintenance mode? CICO sort of thing? If Person A was 600 pounds and ate 1800 calories would Person A stay 600 pounds and not lose weight? I guess what I don’t understand is how does the weight stay there - I don’t know why but I thought to maintain a higher weight Person A would have to eat sooooo much more - but if they remain the same weight is it as simple as they are not eating at a deficit and their weight becomes stable? Sorry if this is basic - this is mind blowing to me lol,
