I’ve lost about 50 lbs in the last year. People have been complimenting me more and more here at work. The reason for that is because I would still wear the same clothes. Just got tighter belts.
Well a few years ago I started dieting and went and bought clothes smaller than I needed at the time with the thought that I was gonna lose weight but I never did.
Just recently I decided to see if they would now fit. To my amazement they all did. Some shirts even a little loose but it’s still better than what I was wearing.
Well I started wearing them and the compliments went through the roof that very first day and definitely an ego boost. I’m not trying to brag but it’s been nice.
Now there are like 4 people trying to lose weight at my work place, but they keep trying to do it too fast. And I’ve tried to give them a few tips here and there but they won’t listen. They over do it. They try too hard and then 1 week later they have given up.
I didn’t lose 50 lbs in one month. It took months and months. Good months bad months. Good gym days and bad gym days. I didn’t gain the weight in one month so why would I expect to lose it in one month. All these people are trying to do keto or intermittent fasting and that’s fine and all but you need to do what works best for you.
I just do cico. That’s what works for me. To me it’s the easiest. Less calories move more lose weight. I like chocolate I like cookies and all that to try keto. But at the same time I’m in a calorie deficit so that’s why I lose weight. These people look at me like I’m crazy when I eat a chocolate bar. Like really? I’m under calories I hit the gym in the morning and with my job I walk well over 10,000 steps.
I guess what I’m trying to explain here is that it takes time. There is no miracle. It will not happen over time. We all have bad days but don’t let that bad day define your week or your month.
