This is the epitome of a cupcake problem because I know other people struggle so much more, but I'd love some advice-- I feel like I've made solid progress so far, but in the past couple months my weight just hasn't been moving the way I want it to. I'm pretty sure it's a combination of factors-- not quite enough sleep because of a new job, started weight training a month or two ago, getting closer to my goal weight, and taking a couple days off for festivities (probably not more than 5-7 days altogether this fall/winter). I'm currently doing roughly 1200 a day (have been for most of the 11 months), but I'd say it's often a little bit more or less than that because I don't necessarily take the time to weight out things like veggies and low-cal dressings (I eyeball it or use volume measurements).
I'm 5'8, 187lb, and I've been doing strength training twice a week and cardio once a week. Any tips on my next steps? It feels like giving up to increase my calories right before Christmas, but there's not really much else about my current plan I can change, other than being even more fastidious about counting or changing my workouts, which I don't want to do because I've been having fun with them. I'm only about 25-30lb away from my goal, and I really want to make sure I don't give up before I even hit maintenance/the rest of my life.
