Should I do zig-zag or calorie cycling for better results?

I've been fortunate to lose nearly 35 lbs since January on a CICO diet and 30-90 minutes of daily exercise. There have been no cheat days or coming close to hitting my maintenance calories. It's been great so far since the quarantine is forcing me to stick with a strict (albeit boring) schedule. My lifestyle has genuinely changed to the point where I have lost all cravings outside of my designated meal times.

With that being said, I keep hearing about zig-zag dieting or calorie cycling to improve results and prevent plateaus. According to my calculations, I'd have to eat around 2335 calories a couple times a week on this plan which I'm afraid will lead to weight gain and isn't something I'd normally do.

Is this something I should consider to improve my weight loss or is my current plan equally as good?
