weight gain after re-starting diet and gym

hi, i’m 19 years old and currently weighing 73 kg/ 160 pounds.

i previously lost almost 30 kgs in 2018 but 2019 was such that i couldn’t manage to lose anything. i still have to lose another 15 kgs or so to reach my goal weight but it just doesn’t seem to be happening. around the end october last year my weight started to drop but immediately i had to start a new internship and knew i couldn’t be able to workout for the next 3 months.

now, however, the internship is over and i’ve gone back to cutting calories and going to the gym six days a week.

checked my weight after a week of going back to the gym and instead of losing anything it has actually gone up by a few grams.

it’s so hard to stay on track and motivated after a year of not seeing any results. i have limited time (about 6-7) months to get to my goal weight before i move abroad to get my master’s degree.

any idea as to why this is happening, what i should change and just how to deal with this?
