Track your food!

Hey guys, I have struggled with dieting my whole life and after a week of tracking my eating, I finally feel like I am into something sustainable.

I had always seen people say "use a food diary and track your food". I always figured that could work, but was too much effort for me and I could just lose weight eating healthier.

I am not here to push weight watchers or anything, but let me tell you, having an app that helps me track easily is extremely helpful. I still eat some foods I like, but it has taught me better portion control and given me a better understanding of which foods just aren't worth it for the amount of my daily total they take up.

Maybe its just beginners momentum, but I actually for once feel like I am in control of my day instead of eating something that isn't super healthy and then falling off the wagon. As long as it fits in my daily total, I dont care if it is vodka or chicken wings, I can have it in moderation.

I know this is nothing groundbreaking, but so far for me this is a huge realization. If you have never given it a shot, it might be what gives you the drive you need. You just need to be true to yourself and track everything.... even if it means you go over your budget. I am finding even days that weren't so good make me learn and I can adjust going forward.

Just excited I have found something that may work! Good luck!
