Thanks to this community (and a lot of hard work) I've hit my goal (and, more importantly, I'm maintaining!)

I have always lurked on this sub as well as /r/1200isplenty and found a lot of the progress pics really motivating... so finally here are mine!

Shout out to my sister for helping me recreate the photo.

Stats: 168cm (5'6) 105kg (231lb) to 68kg (150lb).

Pic on the left was 16 January 2019 (I was about 101kg), pic on the right was from 1 February 2020. I really stacked on the weight after having a baby in 2016 and then separating (and eventually getting divorced) in early 2018. Six months or so after my separation (November 2018-ish) I decided I'd had enough and needed to change my life so I started going to the gym before work (on the days I didn't have my daughter) and cut way back on drinking alcohol. I was still eating like shit but was at least maintaining and getting myself into a routine. At the very end of December 2018 I started counting calories and haven't looked back.

In terms of the gym, I only do things I like. For me, this means mostly jogging on the treadmill watching Netflix. I started out walking for 20 minutes at a time then slowly increased to jogging (literally starting with 30 second intervals). I have 'gym shows' - shows I only allow myself to watch at the gym. This has motivated me more than once to get on the treadmill! I also do some weights three days a week and play netball once a week. I am so addicted to my Fitbit and getting 10,000 steps a day too. I park further away from the shops and willingly take the stairs to get some extra steps in.

Diet-wise I'm pretty lazy to be honest. I meal prep when I can but also eat a lot of frozen meals. I try to eat 300-400 calories per meal. I found I can't bear 'traditional' breakfast food day after day (E.g. I was trying oatmeal, bacon and egg wraps) and now I just eat whatever I want. I get some strange looks in the kitchen at work when I'm heating up chicken chili at 8am! As long as it's within my calorie limit I don't care. I log everything in My Fitness Pal, even my bad days.

Inspired by posts I saw on here, I wrote weights at 1kg intervals and crossed them off like days on a calendar (though not that quickly - I wish!). I also gave myself a reward for every 2.5kg I lost - e.g. a pedicure, new makeup, new jeans.

Finally, I found this list of reasons to lose weight (daughter's nickname is blurred out - that reason came about because I was struggling to sit/fit on the floor of the shower with her) in an old notebook - I am so happy to say I have achieved all of them.

All in all I've just been consistent and incorporated this into my lifestyle. After years of yoyoing and restricting myself only to binge I've finally got to a happy medium. I wish the same for everyone here.
