Question for those who lost the weight, how to get back to maintenance / surplus?

I have been on a calorie deficit for a year now, and although I did not reach 180 I am very happy with myself and I now I will get these last pounds off naturally later on through workouts / exercises.

I started my diet at 2500 and now I am all the way down to 1500. I run 3 times a week (C25K) for about 20 minutes jogging / walking (currently week W4D1), I workout at home with dumbbell, body-weight, and resistance bands doing upper / lower / core) 3 times a week. Some days I work core because I like improving my reps or time.

How would you guys who have lost the weight and gone back to maintenance / surplus recommend I go about this? There are tons of information about "reverse dieting" and tons of other blogs disproving reverse dieting as well. I personally don't trust the online calculators and I think I am going to find it out my true numbers with trial and error, but I don't know how to go about it.

thank you all for your time
