I am F 19, 5'7 and weighed in at 126 pounds in the weeks before this sudden weight gain of 5 pounds. My goal weight is 122 pounds. I work out 5 times a week, 3 days of weight lifting and two days of cardio. I track my calories (but that's a given) daily and try to clock in at 1500 a day. I was doing perfectly fine, been doing this for 6 months now until these past two weeks.
Stepped on the scale and suddenly I'm 5 pounds heavier. Nothing has changed in my diet or exercise. At first I let it go as weight fluctuates, something I'm used to. But this has kept up for nearly 2 weeks now and I'm not sure if water weight hangs around that long? I've tried reducing my sodium intake and I always drink 2 Liters of water a day (I only drink water, nothing else even with my meals. Sparkling water is my "soda"). It might have to do with my monthly friend coming to visit soon, but does that really contribute to 5 pounds of water weight hanging around for nearly two weeks? Have any of you had a similar experience and if so what worked out for you?
