Is it even possible for food to have that many calories?

Today, I ate some pesto sauce with my spaghetti. I thought it wouldn't have that many calories and made the mistake of not logging/checking the calories before I ate (but I weighed the sauce).

So after I ate it, I looked up how many calories it has on the manufacturer's website and to my shock it said 1935 kcal per 100 grams!
Since I ate 80 grams of the pesto, I would have consumed 1534 kcal which is more than my daily budget allows and that's just the sauce alone. Even if I ate 80 g of pure olive oil, I would have consumed less calories lol.

So now my questions are: Is it possible for food to have that many calories?! Isn't the maximum 9 kcal per g (= pure fat)? Did the manufacturer make a mistake?

(if anyone is wondering, here is the link to the food with the data: [http://www.ilpastaioligure.it/schede_prodotti/salse/pesto/Pesto%20alla%20genovese.pdf ])
