Is a diet break necessary in this siutation?

Hey so let me start off by giving some information/stats about myself. I'm 20, male, am 5’10”, and weigh about 171lbs, as of today in the morning. I've been on a caloric deficit for about 20 months now and have gone from 280lbs to 171lbs. I've been able to achieve a decently muscular physique as I have been lifting for six years and by having a lot of mass initially, transforming it to muscle has been relatively successful. I'm not too sure about my bf%, but my arms and back are fairly lean, and I can see the first layer of my abs, and starting to see the second layer. For the past month or so, however, I've been holding still at around 170-173lbs and I've tried a few things including adding some cardio, reducing calories, having a "refeed," or cheat day and nothing has really benefited me the way I've hoped. Anyways, my lifts haven't changed too much this past month or two, but overall they have definitely decreased over these 20 months (which I completely understand.. deficit will definitely cause a lose in strength especially over that much time and that much loss). Anyways, my point is now, is it time to take a diet break? I did take one for a few weeks when I went on a summer trip in 2019 where I just wanted to enjoy myself and not really focus on calories. If so, how should I go about it? My current goal is to continue this cut for a bit until I basically see my abs the way I've wanted to (I know abs are not a good bench mark for cut/bulk, but that's just a base point I've set myself for now). Thank you for any and all information!
