How to stop mindless snacking?

So, I eat very healthy, and my problem is not terrible, but it’s holding me back from getting to where I’d really like to be.

I find myself reaching for something small every time I walk into the kitchen (typically I’ll grab raw oats, yeah I know that’s weird but I eat raw oats almost every day).

I’m not hungry when I do it, I just mindlessly do it a few times throughout the day. It’s not a lot of food at a time, usually just a small handful of something, but that can add up quite easily.

Does anyone have a good tip that I could use to avoid mindlessly snacking like this? I’m in about a 400cal deficit right now (I’m relatively lean already, and I’m in a smaller deficit for the sake of having a sustainable diet that can last) and I’m only eating maybe 200cal or so worth of mindless snacking but it’s really hindering my progress. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
