Desperately need to lose weight! Am I on the right path?

So I had a cardiac event in October 2017. My triponin levels were elevated, chest tightness but they could not find anything wrong after doing all the tests. I used to smoke cigars and live a normal life, but worked out 3 days a week with a personal trainer and walk twice a week. My workouts were light weights and HIIT and the walks were around 4.5 kms, half uphill. I used to weigh around 90kg and am 6 feet tall.

I was put on blood thinner, aspirin, statin. Blood thinner was stopped after a year, bust aspirin and statin continue.

After the event, I had to go in to hospital twice in January and February 2018 to remove two huge kidney stones.

In the process, I stopped working out on my Doctor's advise and walked intermittently. I also stopped smoking completely.

I ended up gaining so much weight its driving me crazy. I now weigh 105kg and have been given the all clear to get back to working out etc. Am trying hard to get back on the workout cycle, and also speed things up with 16:8 intermittent fasting. I also have started calorie counting (as best as I can) using myfitnesspal app. Trying to avoid the usual suspects like chocolates, fries etc.

I hope to lose 15 kgs in 3 months: is it crazy or doable?

I also drink alcohol: maybe 3 or 4 drinks a week. I drink red wine, beer, rum and diet coke or scotch and water. I really dont want to stop drinking, but should I?

Is there anything else I need to do?
