Turning 32 next year. Am I too late?

Hey

I was a skinny teenager but always had bad eating habits since my childhood since my parents didnt give much crap about nutrition. Not saying it's their fault i got fat but since i never had to do anything to loose weight since i just burned everything off i never looked into changing the habits. With tunrning 20 my body began to chance and slowly i gained weight. I'm 160cm (or 5,2 feet) and 80kg ( 176 lbs). Now that I'm over 30 I'm afraid that I'm too late too get where i want to be (in the Normal weight BMI spectrum, would be about 63 kilo for me). I never really been into sports, not a big shocker so i wanted to first start changing my eating habits, or general life habits, one by one.

Like im trying to drink more water, only eating snacks every other day instead of as a meal replacement (I'm not good with cold withdrawals so I'm trying to decrease the craving for sweets slowly. Not sure if thats a way that works), eating veggies with every meal. Just generally eating less calories than i burn.

So am i to late to loose it? Are here some other fellow that tried loosing weight in their 30 or later? What helped you?

(obligatory: Pardon my english not my first lang. ;) )
