The past 3 months...

...have been VERY busy for myself. I moved cities, I moved jobs, I got an apartment and left my mom's house. It's been a HUGE adjustment between moving to a new city where I don't know ANYBODY. To the dogs having a hard time adjusting, to myself learning a new job and creating new routines and habits. I went from working 8 hour shifts from 11pm-7am overnights to working 10 hour shifts, 3 days off a week hours from 4pm-2am

I started the new job process probably end of July so between then and end of September I was working overnight full time and then after work driving from San Antonio to Austin for interviews and on boarding and apartment hunting. I would have no time to really cook since as soon as I got home from these trips I needed to sleep for work that next night. Sometimes I was doing this 2-4 times a week! So naturally I turned to fast food and got a little sloppy watching my diet and what I ate when it came to CICO.

After the move, I have gained 10+ lbs! I was 4 pounds from being in wonderland at the end of August. I have been struggling because I was eating out a lot, getting food delivered. It was easy especially the first week or two I really had no other options! I went from 204lbs to about between 210-215 lately. I actually got down a little bit the other day I weighed at 211 but yesterday I think I'm retaining water from my dinner so I was 215.

I think the positive thing is that I live on the 3rd floor so I am doing a little more work especially taking the dogs on regular walks 2-5 times a day going up and down and then longer walks in the evening. My biggest problem currently is that my knees have been KILLING me! I have so much pain! I struggle standing up or walking lately. I have tried taking a bath and it worked a bit so I'm going to have to make that a weekly thing. I cancelled my old gym and just yesterday went to the apartment gym and actually JOGGED on the treadmill, I KNOW RIGHT (i never jog!)

ANYWAYS this update is getting long but I would love to hear from some people who experienced similar things in their life. Adjusting and losing weight after a move. How can I help my knees from hurting so bad? Any other advice or just tell me how it worked for you when you might have been in my position, I love to hear your stories and be able to relate a little more to you guys.

I missed this sub I am hoping to be on here more now that things have settled more or less. Thanks for being such great people!
