Looking for advice from anyone who has had a panniculectomy (loose skin removal on stomach)

Backstory: I lost about 80 lbs, gained it back, lost it again. I had a bit of loose skin on my stomach, and while not as bad as it could be, it was significant enough to be bothersome to me.

I had my panniculectomy 3 weeks ago. Obviously it's still healing, but it was quite numb and now my sensation is coming back and it feels terribly "tight." I assume this is pretty normal but I just wanted to see if anyone who has had this same procedure felt this way afterwards too.

  • Did you have a sensation like you can't stretch all the way up, prevented by tightness in the abdomen?

  • How long until you felt comfortable stretching side-to-side again?

  • How long before cardio exercise was comfortable?

  • How long before weight lifting was comfortable? I already feel like my skin is super "tight," I think I might burst if I got a pump in those muscles.
