Is there anything I can do besides trial and error to figure out what my body needs? I know everybody is different so what works for some people might not be best for me. I’m a weird eater I guess you say so the foods I like are limited. I’m doing low carb high protein right now, but I don’t eat fish or red meat. My day usually goes like this:
5:30 am wake up. Have a protein drink. Drive to work to use the gym and do my workouts for 60-90 minutes. 9:00 am start work (also I sit all day but do get up at least every 2 hours to walk around and stretch) 10:00 am have 1/2 an apple sometimes a whole 1:00 pm lunch. Usually 4-5oz of chicken with a veggie. Sometimes a salad with chicken. 3:00 pm snack like string cheese or yogurt 5:30 pm Go home 7:30 eat dinner 10:30 pm go to bed
I have a Fitbit, I’m counting calories, working with a trainer on weekends and working out before work. Recently started jogging, not very well, and then doing my strength training/weight workouts given from my trainer after I jog. I’m just really trying to maximize my results. I recently quit drinking and have 34 days sober. I’m putting all my energy that I have now into getting in shape. Lose weight, lose fat, gain endurance and tone up are my goals. I spent too long being an alcoholic and gained so much weight. I know it’s not an easy reversal to do the damage I did over so many years, but willing to work hard to get better results. That’s what’s keeping me sober honestly and not much else.
Anyways any guidance, links, articles to read would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
