Weight Loss for Everyone: Hate consistency?

Hate consistency?

I'm trying to lose weight, and starting with counting calories which always helps, but I'm struggling with the exercise portion of it. I know it's not necessarily necessary, however I do usually make better choices when I exercise and feel better mentally. My problem is that I just really dislike sticking with a program, I know consistency is the key in this whole journey but as soon as I feel the obligation to do a specific program, I start resenting it. I love it for the first maybe three or four weeks then start to hate it.

This has really hurt my progress as I have oft heard that it takes like six weeks of sticking to one thing to see any progress. Any suggestions on some kind of rotating schedule that also provides results? Or do I need to suck it up and this is part of being an adult?
