I was on a diet for an entire year. I would walk outside (flat ground) for 30-60 mins, 7 days a week. I couldn't lose any weight.
Then I started going on a 45-minute hike 4-5 days a week (i.e., lots of hills), and the weight *finally* started coming off.
I'm just perplexed by this. I honestly thought walking on flat ground would be sufficient, like doctors have said to me.. but it wasn't. Does this mean we really need to get our heart racing in order to lose any weight at all?
