Working out

As a kid, I hate gym. I hated the thought of exercising. I would walk the mile run. When I was forced to run track, I would try to go for hurdles or sprinting so I was wasn't running that long. I hated running track. I hated the people, the coach, the fact that I was forced to do it. I hated working out in high school. I took the easy classes.

In college I tried to fulfill my gym credit three semesters in a row but I just couldn't complete it. I hated that class as well. There was no enjoyment when I did my workouts. I just wanted to leave as soon as I got there.

I just finished my first work out in years. I only did cardio for 15 minutes, the most exhausting 15 minutes in my life. I worked my arms and abs and I feel accomplished. I actually have more energy today than I have had for a while. I am excited for tomorrow. I plan on going there for cardio tomorrow. I feel like there might be some enjoyment with this. I can listen to my music and have me time which is hard to get with our household. The gym is 24 hours and they have a women's work out area where there are no eyes on me. I feel relieved. I can do this. I didn't know I could do this until today.

Thank you for reading.
