Waiting For Goal Weight Before Dating?

The title says it all. I have about 40 more pounds to go to get back to my previous physique. I am an attractive person when I’m at my GW, not a model by any means, but not an ugly guy. I want an attractive partner on the inside and outside.

With the exception of the last couple of years, I’ve always been in amazing shape and happy with my potential dating pool. As I became grossly out of shape, my dating pool corresponded to that change.

I’ve essentially withdrawn from the market. Obviously, it’s to do with a loss of confidence, self worth etc. along with a lack of appeal to my potential partners. As I’ve began taking care of my physical (losing fat/regaining muscle) and mental (stopped drinking/ reduced anxiety) health, my social life and confidence have both begun to return.

TL;DR: Ultimately, I’m going to wait another 3/4 months to start dating seriously. I want to maximize my appeal to the potential dating pool along with maximizing the external factors that can help my self-confidence. Does anyone else have this mindset? Thoughts?
