Really trying to not let this ruin my day...

I’ve been back “on the wagon” for one official month now. I posted a while back that I was maintaining my weight at 176 for a good chunk of 2019, but I’d regained 20 pounds between August to December. I weighed in at 196 on Jan 13. In this one month, I’ve weighed myself only twice, two and a half weeks ago and today. This first time I stepped on the scale two and a half weeks ago, and I was down to 188. Great progress for two weeks in, but my eating habits were great, I was consistently back at the gym 5 days a week and drinking tons of water, so I honestly wasn’t surprised.

I’ve continued on with the balanced eating as well as counting calories(1200 calories most with the exception of maybe 3 where they were around 1400), killing it in my workouts, drinking tons of water, etc. I decided I’d weighed in again at the 1 month mark, which is today. Stepped on the scale- it read 188 again. Thought maybe the thing was on the fritz, so I stepped off, and back on. Still 188. Popped new batteries in that sucker, still 188.

....I have no clue how this is possible. I don’t have any clue how I could lose 8 pounds in my first 2 weeks and then absolutely none and the second 2 and a half despite working my ass off just the same. And it’s not due to my period. I’ve been off it for four days. This shit is why people give up. I’m not proud of my body. I’m pissed off at it. And I’m sorry that this isn’t one of the positive and inspiring posts we love to read, but stuff like this really has a way of screwing with you mentally. I don’t want this to ruin my day... but I’m gonna be honest, pretty sure it already has.
