Onderland!!

You guys, I did it. I finally got to Onderland again!

I’m (29F) 5’8” and my highest weight was around 230. Maybe more. I was afraid to step on the scale to be completely honest.

In high school I was always overweight, my highest getting around 180. Then in college it was the freshman 15, the sophomore 15, and then some.

I got married in 2013, and my husband has always been super supportive of me. He really does love me whichever way I’m happiest and I love that about him. In the past couple years, though, I’ve really started to be unhappy with my looks. So I decided to take matters into my own hands.

He got a Bluetooth scale (from Weight Gurus), and I started drinking more water. It’s been just yo-yo dieting the past couple years where I’d be serious about this and then just give up.

Luckily for me I have a job (in a deli/bakery in a grocery store) where I’m on my feet all day. Sometimes having to lift stuff, sometimes walking about a mile over the course of my shift. Twice a week I make it a point to walk to my mom’s house after work - she lives 1.2 miles away from my job.

I’ve also started doing IF at a 16:8 ratio. Sometimes 18:6. I fast 16:8 for 5 or so days and then take a break from fasting for one or two. And this time it’s working. This most recent leg of my journey was started in December of last year where I weighed in at 209. Today I stepped on the scale and I’m 198.2!

I’ve learned a lot about myself. That I really do fall on snacking when I’m bored. That my biggest vice is coca-cola. That having junk food is okay in moderation, I can eat a handful of chips - I don’t need the whole bag.

It’s been slow and steady but I’m so ready to see where this journey takes me!
