I've officially lost 100 pounds as of a few days ago. I don't have anyone else to tell.

Exactly what it says. I was almost 260 pounds at Peak Mass. (Probably more, I didn't weigh myself much back then.) I'm 5'6", a healthy weight for me would be around 130 or 140, so that's extremely obese. I got winded easily, and my chest felt heavy sometimes.

It felt hopeless. I've been fat since I was a kid, and while I've managed to get slightly less fat from time to time, I always ballooned again. Instead of doing another diet, I decided to do a total lifestyle change. I switched to a restrictive vegan diet and eliminated processed sweeteners, oils, flour, and salt. I basically try to avoid buying anything with a bar code. (Hot sauces - used sparingly - are my one indulgence.) I don't calorie count or anything, I just eat whatever I want as long as it follows my rules.

The first few months were tough, but my taste completely changed after a while, and now my comfort foods are totally different than they used to be. (Black bean soup is my favorite.) I feel really good, not just because I've lost weight, but because I know I'll keep it off this time. I have no intention of changing my diet even when I hit my goal. I don't even want to. I like the food I'm eating now.

I just wanted to share with someone.

EDIT: I forgot to mention a timeframe. It's been a bit more than 13 months.
