If I can give everyone here some advice, this is it

TAKE THE PICTURES

I spent many, many years of my life refusing to be in photographs because I was self-conscious. I never wanted to see myself on camera, so I refused. I thought I looked hideous and disgusting and I let my weight struggles dictate how I lived my life.

I regret this more than anything else I have ever done.

Your body does not define who you are. How you feel you look in pictures does not define who you are. Your weight does not define you who are.

I have very few pictures of myself between age 15 and now (age 31). I regret this more than I can say. I missed documenting a huge part of my life. I missed taking photos with friends who have moved away, with friends and relatives who have since left this world.

I didn't even bother getting graduation photos when I finished my degree, I was so embarrassed with how I looked. I let my preoccupation with looks rob me of documenting that achievement and I can never go back.

Nobody has to see them but you. But TAKE PICTURES. Even if you're not happy with your weight. Even if you're working on losing. You will regret it if you don't.
