I have lost 53 pounds!

Hey r/Lostit!

This is actually my first time posting on this subreddit, despite viewing it pretty consistently over the last year or so. Well anyways, here is my story;

Growing up, I used to be in insanely good shape! I had a six pack I wish I still had and was toned year round from playing sports non-stop. I played sports until the end of freshman year, where everything fell apart. I moved one state up and it completely fucked up everything for my. I had no friends, new highschool etc. I fell into a really bad habit of just not doing anything and I became the laziest I have ever been. I finished sophomore year around 200 pounds.

Junior year got even worse. I was constantly eating frozen pizzas and playing more videogames then ever. I got fatter and fatter and it spiraled out of control. At the end of junior year, I was at my heaviest ever recorded weight. 229.7.

After realizing just how much I had let myself go, I decided that it was time to try and get back to where I was about 2 years prior. I signed up for planet fitness, I had my mom buy me big bags of frozen chicken, mixed greens, broccoli, salmon, all kinds of good foods! And it started working! I lost 14 pounds in my first month!

And I failed. I moved about an hour away from where I was living, which was also where my bestfriend and gym partner lived and became demotivated. I finished the summer off and went into online school. I somehow gained back virtually no weight and was still at about 215.

Online school was surprisingly my saving grace. Since I had so much free time from being in online school, I was able to immediately able to start applying for fulltime jobs! I got the first one I applied to, and the one I wanted the most, which was at a tire shop. This job saved me. It was a very fast paced environment where I was constantly lifting tires, getting up and down from putting assemblies on cars, torquing the vehicle, etc. and the weight fell off. I starting working there in Sept. at 215 pounds and now in February, I am at 176.6 pounds as of today.

My diet has consisted of lots of fast food, fruits, iced tea, and of course, 7/11 hotdogs. I didn't eat very well, but I always made sure to stay under my caloric intake of 1800 calories.
