How do you deal with hunger from extreme exercise or running?

I'm trying to get in shape so I can run a lot of 5k races this summer. I've been running 4 or 5 miles everyday for about two weeks and I've been extremely hungry.

I usually eat around 2000 calories a day. I burn around 700 calories a day from running 4-5 miles and walking 2 miles to and from my classes. 1300 is what I usually ate before I started exercising and felt fine, but now that I'm exercising and am at the same deficit I feel starved. I've also gained six pounds since I started running everyday.. I know it's probably just water weight, but it's still discouraging...

Does anyone have any tips or anything on how to deal with the hunger?
