I’m an averaged-sized person, moderately health-conscious. I eat normally, work out 2-5 times a week, depending on my schedule. I don’t like over-eating, like to be active and haven’t really ever had to worry about my weight.
My SO has always had a weight problem, but has gained probably about 150lbs since we married 10 years ago, most of which in the past two years.
This is affecting his health horribly, he now has bad sleep apnea, terrible exercise tolerance, is very sedentary and sex is getting more uncomfortable for me. I love him, I want him to be healthy. I spoke to him about my concerns last year and he spiraled into a deep depression.
He has entered counseling and plateaued emotionally, but things physically are not changing, just getting worse.
Would anybody have any advice for me? I want to speak w his counselor but don’t want to upset my SO or overstep bounds. I want my SO to have better emotional and physical health so we have a longer, healthier, happier life together.
