I’ve been on a journey to lose weight for a year now and have lost about 60lbs so far. I have another 60 to lose, but just can’t find that motivation to keep pushing. I feel like something changed/budged and is causing my weight to stall. I go to the gym six days a week, stick to my caloric intake and drink nothing but water. It’s been months that my weight has not moved. This causes me to feel like everything I’m doing is for nothing and I tend to fall off the wagon. I’ve changed my gym routine, changed my meal plans and get little to no results. This causes me to feel down and skip gym days and lose the energy to cook at home. I basically become burned out with everything and just want to say “screw it” and throw in the towel.
In the end, I just feel tired of it all. But I don’t want to give up. I just want to find that motivation that I had at the beginning of all this and get to my goal.
I’m aware that I don’t give my 100% and lose the progress that I made by skipping those gym days and not eating well. What I need is help on finding that motivation again.
Has anyone else felt this way before when they had to lose a massive amount of weight (in my case, 120lbs total)? What did you do to get back into that motivated mindset that made you not give up? Please help!
I already made a doctors appointment in the coming week to have a general checkup and see if it’s really me screwing with my own progress or just something wrong with my body. Wish me luck!
