Hello

Hello lovely loseit community! I've been reading this subreddit from behind the scenes for a while and I finally decided to make a post, along with a request.

Im an 18 year old guy, about to turn 19 in March. Im about 5'9" and 265 pounds. I've known ive been overweight for a while now but ive always lacked the courage, and or motivation to do something about it. But 2 weeks ago today, I started going to the gym and keeping track of my calories. I started at about 270 pounds, so progress is occuring (although it is mostly water weight I believe, as I first weighed myself at night). But to the point, i've been pretty aimless in the gym. 20 minutes of bike here, 13 minutes of elliptical there, 2 minutes of treadmill (im awful at running but I get so bored walking) in a day, with even more aimless machine use. I barely keep track of reps and sets. My diet hasnt changed drastically, just more wise decisions with portion and keeping track of the calories and servings of my food, so overall I am consuming around 2200 calories a day. Which is about my BMR. I want to start adding healthier options into my arsenal, but I have no clue how to go about that, and id like to have a more set "plan" in the gym, and thats where you lovely folks come in!

If you have any advice, tips, tricks, or maybe even plans youd like to share with me that would be SO appreciated. Feel free to message me if you'd like to keep your response private or otherwise. I really hope ill hear from some of you!
