Feeling guilty after have some cake

Hi /r/loseit

yesterday we went to friends for dinner. it was Spaghetti bolognese. And then I had a slice of cake for dessert. My friend has a professional training as baker, so her stuff is really good, and I couldn't resist.

Only had one slice, it was delicious, and this morning the scale was even down. Still, can't help but feel guilty/stupid over it. That slice probably had a lot of calories in it (it was with caramel and bakers cream/chocolate), and I had gone for a run earlier, so I felt I just ruined that as well. I know you can't outrun your diet, but still..

Anyone else have this, and how do you combat it? I know its ok to have a slice once in a while, but yea. I feel silly about it but also guilty about it.

I've been doing really good since starting my loseit journey and this felt like a loss for me. I'm not discouraged and i'm not going to start binging or anything like that though.

I don't count my calories, but I manage what I eat and log what I eat and go over it together with my dietitian. How do you get over the feeling?

Thanks for your replies, I really love this community, it's so helpful and encouraging!
