Any advice about losing on birth control?

Hi all!

I posted not that long ago and have hit a sudden realization/roadblock.

I'm 18 and at the age of 16 I started the birth control shot (DepoProvera). At 16 I was at my lowest weight in a while and shot up quickly after starting the shot.

I attributed the weight gain to a broken foot and just assumed once I could move around again itd get better.

Fast forward to now I realize I have 0 hunger cues. I've even "fasted" on accident due to my schedule for around 18-24 hours and didnt feel hungry once. My stomach was making noise but I guess the brain signal didnt translate? I dont know. Because of this I have a tendency to just eat every few hours going "oh well I'd probably be hungry so I should get something." I also never really feel full, only when I'm about to puke do I feel "full".

Sadly due to possible medical issues I either cant or am uncomfortable switching birth control methods. I really need to lose the weight but feel all my efforts are making no use. At 16 I stopped drinking soda and lost 15lbs right off the bat, at 18 I did it again and gained 5 lbs. Currently I'm still 5 pounds down from my highest weight ever but I cant seem to get the scale to move. Especially with the mental component now of putting 2 and 2 together.

Does anyone have any advice?
