It sounds like a joke, but it's a little more complicated. Anyone else have to have this kind of talk? Because we're talking about a bomb ass cook, but she's also Eastern European. Very old world, trying to limit portion size is almost like an insult to her.
And in truth I appreciate this, I never asked for it but it comes from a place of love and care. But most of what I consume throughout the day are smoothies packed with greens and plant based protein powder. PB&Js on seed bread too. Then I get this late evening dinner of a mountain of rice and some kind of pan fried meat. Bread too. No idea what it is but it's great. Until I'm lounged out on my couch nursing a food baby.
I really don't wanna sound like a jerk. But her wires get all crossed at the idea of her 6'0, 255 lb, broad-shouldered boyfriend slugging down liquefied vegetables and little else. 1800 daily calories is tantamount to starvation in her culture. Any suggestions on how to frame this?
