My BMI is 36 (!!!) - I have been a healthy weight my whole life, and have always been very active, but a few years ago was hit with autoimmune issues, went on prednisone for a year, gained 50 lbs and completely lost my ability to be active. I went from walking/running a few miles a day and running a farm, tossing around 60lb bags of feed like they were nothing, to barely able to lift my arm to brush my kid's hair practically overnight. Being so weak and with constant pain and fatigue, my activity level is nil. Even though I eat healthy foods, no junk, no drive through, no sugar, all one-ingredient low-glycemic foods, my weight continued to climb just because I am now so sedentary. In desperation I have now received a prescription for phentermine, to start taking this weekend, when I won't be driving or anything, since I tend to be sensitive to medicine side effects.
Does anyone have experience with this medication? I'd love to hear other people's thoughts who have taken it. Thank you!
