Hi everyone! I’m very inspired by the help and honesty I see on this sub!
I just had a quick question about walking shoes. I’m a big guy (south of 300 pounds but north of 250) and I rely on walking A LOT for exercise (I find it super calming and enjoyable). Quick side note; for those who don’t know, walking burns a similar amount of calories as running when measured by distance (which makes sense. It takes longer to walk then to run, but if you cover the same ground, it’s a comparable calorie burner!). Not to mention it’s wayyyyy easier on the joints.
For someone who walks so much, has Fred flintstone feet, and is on the bigger side, I feel like my shoes wear out pretty fast. Have you found any specific athletic shoe brand that seem to hold up well?
I love new balances (they’re pretty comfy), but I wish they didn’t wear our so fast. I’m at a crossroads where it’s time to buy ANOTHER pair, but I’d rather do a little research to find the right ones. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
