Just posting to see how you guys have gotten over a plateau. I started at 290lbs around this time last year. I got down to around 227-228lbs by October but since then, I’ve basically been bouncing between 225-320lbs.
In the spring, summer, and fall, I had been walking 3+ miles per day and eating pretty well. I’m definitely not walking as much now because of the shorter daylight hours as well as the cold temperatures, but I try to walk some now.
I’m thinking the plateau is mostly from just the season, like walking less, and the fact that my family has so many unhealthy snacks around the house this time of year (homemade Chex mix - lots of salt, ranch pretzels - more salt, brownies, pie, etc.).
I’m going to try to drink lots more water, count calories, and try to get back to walking 3 miles per day even if I have to take short breaks from work during the day (I work from home).
Any other tips from those of you that got over a plateau like this?
Thanks!
