I lost 100 pounds within the past year and a half. I’m a female 5’6 and was 254 and got to 154. I was doing just cardio and counting/weighing my food. I was maintaining until quarantine. I was confident in not counting cals anymore because I was used to the right portion sizes and eating healthy. I gained 30 pounds back.
So I immediately started working out 5 days a week. Lifting and light cardio. I track my cals again and weigh my food. I basically only eat Whole Foods and some low cal tortilla wraps. I only drink water and don’t eat junk food. Thing is, I went from not working out for like a year to working out 5 days a week and eating 1g of protein per pound lol. So I’m not even losing weight. I know it takes time, but I put on my old jeans that were loose and they are so tight :( I’m trying to build muscle so I eat about 1900 cals a day. My maintenance w working out is like 2300. I calculated it on an app. I heard if you are a beginner at lifting then you can be in a few hundred cal deficit and still lose some weight and tone up (noobie gains).
By the way it has been 4 weeks of this new routine. I was going to stick to it for 3 months then change if I need to.
