No need to even respond, it's early morning here and I'm just talking because I'm struggling a little, it'll probably be better later.
So I have been on 1500 cal/day for over 100 days, and lost over 50 pounds ... but about a week ago it all got screwed up because I had to have a medical test that didn't allow me to eat for 2 days. In anticipation of that test, I did research and found out that the liver can "store" about 2000 calories worth of energy, and the muscles quite a bit too, ... so I went off of 1500 cal/day and for like two days ate a lot more than that trying to kind of build up a buffer so that I wouldn't be hungry for the two days that I didn't eat. One thing about being on such a reduced calorie diet ... you do have to eat it, or you get light headed, etc, so I had to do something to prepare for that. It was a stressful test also ... so what actually happened is that before the test I ate more than I intended, then after the test for a day or two "celebrated" by eating whatever I wanted. All well and good, really, not a huge problem as long as it stops, right ? And I recorded everything I ate, basically about 8000 calories more than 1500 cal/day over the course of about 4 or 5 days. But the trouble is now it's been about 48 hours I've been back on 1500 cal/day, and I'm struggling. I had gotten accustomed to 1500 cal/day after doing it for months, but now it's like starting over at the beginning all over again, .. really hungry, anxious, all the feelings I had when I first went on 1500 cal/day months ago.
I know it will work itself out and that after I have been back on track for a few days or a week it'll be like I never went off the path, but that doesn't change the fact that at the moment it's like early morning and I've already eaten over half of the calories I have for the day because I have been so hungry. So .. like I said, not really looking for advice or anything, it'll work out .. but it just sucks at the moment.
