Feeling Grateful for the Journey I'm On

At the start of the year I made a promise to myself that I would be better this year and I actually meant it. On January 1st I went to the gym, got my first workout in, and decided right then and there that I was going to make it a habit to go to the gym 3x a week for the entire month.

I crushed it. Sometimes I even went 4 times a week. What's absolutely blowing my mind though is the mental effects it has had on my life. It's fricken crazy, I thought everyone was lying about the mental boost! Lol! It has snowballed into other aspects of my life too that I didn't expect. My hair has gotten noticeably healthier, my skin is glowing, I'm feeling more focused in my school / work, waking up well rested! Hell, I even upgraded to an electric toothbrush and not to be dramatic but it has changed my life haha! My challenge for myself this month is to not eat any refined sugars. So far so good, it's so crazy to watch the inflammation just leave your body. This whole experience for me has just been so positive and I'm honestly just feeling really grateful right now.

I don't know. I guess I'm just rambling because nobody I know can really understand what it is I'm trying to say here. A year ago, I used to eat a pint of ice cream every single night. I was ordering food 4-5 times a week for MONTHS. I was very inactive and honestly stuck in pretty lonely place, physically and mentally. This spot that I'm in now is just so freeing, it's like the clouds parted and the sun came back out.
