Hey there! I have been consistently eating well AND going to the gym every day after work for 45 minutes. I have been eating around 1300-1500 calories a day, with primarily doing cardio + some no/minimal equipment exercises (tbh, it’s easier to pick up a medicine ball or kettle bell than wait for a machine/weights to free up on a somewhat limited schedule ha).
I started at 211 lbs and currently sitting at 206 (as of tonight - though, I know I shouldn’t weigh myself at night).
What I believe I’m doing well: 1) eating. I’m just not hungry through the day at all because I keep filling foods at my desk. I have been more conscious at logging calories and weighing my food when I bring it (which has been every day - and I’m loving the food I’m bring too). 2) exercising in a way that feels effective for me. I can’t run for the life of me, but I’ve found a very good rhythm to get me going and I feel stronger and more comfortable with my running. I try to do minimum 30 minutes of cardio, whether it’s brisk walk, job, or running as far as I can without stopping.
What I need to improve upon: 1) weighing myself. While I have to do this to know where I stand, I get into my head and weight myself when I know I shouldn’t. 2) Tempering expectations. I’m not gonna just drop all this weight outta nowhere. I gotta chill. 3) pushing myself in my exercises. I legitimately don’t know if I should be feeling fatigued with each workout I do or I should just feel a slight burn.
These are just my thoughts 10 days into it! Excited to keep going!
