Is this an eating disorder?

Hey guys. Been trying to lose weight lately, haven’t we all. Anyhow I’ve been trying a bunch of new diets. I’ve tried a new one that seems to be working great but had a family member they were concerned that it was “not normal”.

Basically, it’s not making any standard meals. Growing up I was always taught that a meal HAD to have a meat, a starch, and a veggie. So either a piece of chicken, steak, meatloaf, pork chops. With almost always mashed potatoes but sometimes just roasted or baked potato. Then usually microwaved bagged veggies like broccoli or green beans etc.

My new thing is to just eat things throughout the day. Wake up, have coffee with a banana. Then later maybe have a baked potato (I friggen love potatos, and they are good for you if you don’t slather them in butter or sour cream). Then later have a salad. Few hours later have an apple or sliced up pineapple. Then towards 4-5 have a piece of fish.

Idk, seems ok to me because I’m not starving myself. I hate the idea of sitting down and stuffing my face all at once. It leads me to overeat. Or I just won’t want the healthy sides. Idk but eating a salad alone when I’m hungry is much more appealing than eating it alongside a giant piece of steak.

Anyone else eat like this?
