I am 5'3 for reference and consumed 1300 calories today walked around 5500 steps (2.4 miles or 3.9 km give or take) according to both my Fitbit, along with Samsung health, by total daily energy expenditure is 1410 calories. When I look across the web most calorie calculators put the lowest setting of being sedentary at around 1530 minimum. This is a day without exercise and average walking for me, yet to even achieve a pound of weight loss, I'd have to consume 900 calories, but anything lower than 1100 is difficult for me to maintain. I understand most do not reccomend going below 1000 calories a day, and even I have difficultly following below that, but why do I burn so little? Even if I walked 10,000 steps a day I'd only be left with 1586 for my tdee. What gives?
It should be noted that while I'm asking for advice, this is also a complaint/venting piece
I am also have a very average healthy BMI but am used to weighing 20 pounds below what I weigh now, hence my desire for weightloss. Thanks for taking the time to read this
